CPI says govt hiding facts

Communist Party of India (CPI) has criticised the State government’s Vote-on-Account Budget for the year 2019-20 as intended to hide facts.

Though allotments are generous, expenditure is not as good, as shown by the ₹6,564 crore revenue surplus.

There is no fund allocation for the promised ₹5 lakh each for those intending to construct their own double bedroom houses. There is no mention of extension of retirement age to 61 years nor about the sub plan for backward classes.

Though Most Backward Classes have been allotted ₹1000 crore for two consecutive years, so far not a paisa has been spent, yet government has come up with another round of ₹1000 crore allotment. This is intended to deceive people, a press statement from CPI said.

Loan waiver in the same four instalments is unjust, and meagre allocation for irrigation projects could result in the slow down of the projects.

By not revealing the debt burden after formation of Telangana state, the government intends to hide facts from people, the party accused.
