A special ACB Court on Monday extended the judicial remand of the TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy and two others accused in the Cash for Vote scam till June 29.

On completion of 14-day remand, Mr. Revanth Reddy along with Harry Sebastian and Uday Simha were produced before the ACB Magistrate, who extended the remand till June 29. The ACB officials filed a memo seeking further extension of the remand of the three persons as the report from the Forensic Sciences Laboratory on the audio and video tapes of the Cash for Vote scam had not been received.

The ACB memo said that as the investigation in the case was still on, the custody should be extended. The court turned down the bail petition filed by the counsel for Mr. Revanth Reddy.

Mr. Reddy’s lawyers told reporters outside the court that they would file fresh bail petition in the next couple of days.

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Revanth Reddy was caught red handed by the ACB sleuths on May 31 trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson by paying him Rs. 50 lakh to support his party nominee in the Telangana Legislative Council elections.
