The Congress held demonstrations across Telangana demanding the government to start paddy procurement centres immediately and also withdraw the hike in fuel prices and power tariff.

Senior leaders, including TPCC president Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, MP Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, and MLA D. Sreedhar Babu warned the government that TRS Ministers and MLAs would not be allowed to go to villages if they don’t rescue the farmers.

Protests were led by Bhatti Vikramarka in Khammam, Sreedhar Babu in Manthani, Jeevan Reddy in Jagityal, Ponnam Prabhakar in Karimnagar, Anjan Kumar Yadav in Hyderabad and Jagga Reddy in Sangareddy. In Karimnagar, tension prevailed as DCC president Kavampalli Satyanarayana was injured when the police tried to stop the protest he was leading.
