Congress condemns attacks by MIM

The Karimnagar District Congress Committee leaders staged a dharna in front of the office of Superintendent of Police in Karimnagar town on Wednesday denouncing attacks on TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader Shabbir Ali by the supporters of MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad. DCC president K. Mruthyunjayam and other party leaders assembled at the Telangana martyrs memorial and proceeded towards the Superintendent of Police office and staged a dharna flaying the MIM leaders for attacking the Congress leaders during the GHMC polls.

Later, a delegation submitted a memorandum to SP D. Joel Davis demanding stern action against the culprits involved in the attacks on the leaders. On this occasion, the DCC president alleged that the MIM leaders were resorting to violent acts on the Congress leaders at the behest of the ruling TRS government in the State. ' Town Congress president Karra Rajashekhar, Mahila Congress president G. Jayashree, leaders Gandhe Madhavi and others were also present.
