Member of Parliament K. Kavitha, on Saturday, said that people lost faith in the Congress and the BJP and the party candidates would lose their deposits in the Parliament elections just like in Assembly elections.

Fearing defeat, leaders of both the parties have started false campaign, she said addressing a series of roadside election meetings in course of her road show in Balkonda constituency. As a Parliament member she strived for the welfare of the farmers growing turmeric and red jowar, she said and forgetting that the Congress leaders were provoking farmers to file a number of nominations to stall the election. “If farmers will be happy filing nominations there will be no one else who would be more happy. Congress and BJP are trying to get votes by misleading people. BJP says TRS is taking the credit for Central schemes by changing their names, which is false. Telangana schemes have become model for the entire country and the welfare schemes here are better than in Gujarat,” she said.

She appealed to voters not to get carried away with the false propaganda of the Opposition, she said: “If you give 16 Lok Sabha seats to the party the party leadership would gather 130 members of other parties to play a pivotal role at the Centre to achieve due share for the State.”

Minister for Roads and Buildings, Housing and Legislative Affairs V. Prasanth Reddy also spoke.
