Working president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) K.T. Rama Rao has observed that Congress is a sinking ship and people are not interest in going with it.

Mr. Rama Rao held a tele-conference with party’s campaign in-charges in Huzurnagar from Hyderabad on Tuesday and said people were supporting TRS on a large-scale there seeking a change. Exuding confidence that TRS would romp home in Huzurnagar with a big margin, he said the Congress party was neither in power in the State nor at the Centre and electing a representative of that party would be of no use to people.

He felt that BJP and TDP in the fray in Huzurnagar would not have much support and they would end up as also-rans. He alleged that Nalgonda MP N. Uttamkumar Reddy, who quit as Huzurnagar MLA after being elected to Parliament, was speaking lies on the development in the constituency. All government schemes such as Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Aasara pension and other welfare and development schemes were being implemented in Huzurnagar as in any other constituency in the State.

Suggesting the party’s poll campaign managers to take the welfare and development work done by TRS since 2014 into people widely and he had no doubt that they would be convinced with the work done by the govenrment so far, if explained properly.
