Cong. wants TRS leaders to display restraint

Govt. can order CBI probe and bring culprits to book in land scam

District Congress Committee (DCC) president N. Rajender Reddy advised the ruling party leaders to restrain from using foul language against the Opposition party leaders.

It was the responsibility and duty of the Opposition parties to question the government in the interest of people. It should not be taken personally and instead introspect and do the needful.

“It is our right to question on behalf of people. But the ruling party leaders are using very bad language unable to digest the reasonable criticism,” he said.

Mr. Rajender Reddy sought to know if the ruling party fulfilled all its promises as being claimed. The much publicised double-bed room houses, underground drainage to Warangal city and distribution of land to the poor SCs and STs and so on were not fulfilled till date, he pointed out.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao camped here for four days and promised that he would join the slum dwellers in house warming ceremony within one year. It was three years ago that he made that promise. It did not materialise so far.

The Government failed to check the corruption and scandals involving the ruling party leaders, he said. Why the ruling party leaders were so shaky about the Miyapur land scandal? They were in power and they can order for CBI inquiry and bring to book the real culprits.

“The ruling party leaders are passing the buck and blaming the past governments for all their ills. They need not replicate what Congress did and indeed can do much better going by their claims. Are they doing it?,” Mr. Rajender Reddy asked.

He said that Congress party was bound to come to power in 2019 elections and then the Government would order for CBI probe in all the scandals taking place now in the TRS regime.
