Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who suffered heatstroke during his Prajaswamya Parirakshana Yatra in Kothagudem constituency on Wednesday was admitted to a private hospital in Khammam late on Wednesday night.

Under scorching heat wave conditions, Mr. Vikramarka has been taking up his “Save Democracy” bus yatra traversing vast areas in Pinapaka, Yellandu and Kothagudem Assembly constituencies in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district for four days since Sunday.

He embarked on the yatra to muster public support against the ruling TRS orchestrated “political defections” in the State.

Congress party sources said that Mr. Vikramarka is expected to resume his bus yatra and tour Palair constituency next week.
