‘Centre trying to destabilise AAP government in Delhi’

Aam Admi Party leader and former Law Minister of Delhi, Somnath Bharti accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union government of making attempts to destabilise AAP government using the Lieutenant General of Delhi. Though they were given clear mandate in elections, he said the Union government was trying to fail the AAP government administratively.

Interacting with reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with members of AAP, Miryalaguda division in Nalgonda district here on Tuesday, the former Minister alleged that the Centre was interfering into the personal lives of AAP leaders, referring to his wife Lipika filing domestic violence case against him. Talking about the arrest of another former Law Minister Jitendar Singh Tomar, Mr. Bhartisaid that Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani was also involved in fake certificates.

Detailing the initiatives taken by the 100-day-old AAP government in Delhi, he said no government in India had ever achieved so much progress even during a five-year term. The pace at which the AAP government was taking up various public welfare decisions like cutting the power tariff by 50 per cent, the Malviya Nagar MLA said.
