CPI holds hunger strike

The CPI cadres led by the party leader and former legislator K. Sambasiva Rao staged a day-long fast in Kothagudem on Friday in protest against the alleged failure of the TRS government to fulfil its pre-election promises.

The protesters headed by Mr. Sambasiva Rao sat on a day-long fast at the Super Bazar centre. Speaking on the occasion, the CPI division leaders alleged that the TRS government stalled several development schemes, including the new drinking water pipeline from Kinnerasani reservoir to Kothagudem.
