One killed in accident

One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a road accident on Nagarjunasagar-Hyderabad road near Chinthapally in the wee hours of Tuesday. A rice-laden DCM van going to Hyderabad collided with an oil tanker coming in the opposite direction.

DCM driver S. Venkatesh (34), native of Gurrampode mandal in district, was killed on the spot while the oil tanker driver Srisailam, native of Mahabubnagar district, sustained serious injuries. A case has been registered. - Staff Reporter
