The BJP district will conduct a roundtable on district development on May 2 involving intellectuals, academics and
farmers. The party district president A Ashok Reddy said a comprehensive report would be prepared and submitted to the State and Central governments envisaging all round development of the district.
The Centre has already included the Warangal in 100 smart cities and released funds for development. Under the Digital India, the Centre has released Rs. 3,000 crore but the State government was showing only Rs 500 crore for the purpose.
The State government was diverting the funds, he alleged. The Swach Bharat programme was changed to Swach Hyderabad by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao only to gain political mileage in the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.
The State government failed to submit proposals for development and seek funds from the Centre though the Centre was ready to fund as many projects in new Telangana State, the BJP leader said.
The promises made by the TRS party on the eve of elections remained on the paper. There were no jobs as promised and there was no focus on agriculture in the State.
