Expressing concern over poor amenities at Sri Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam at Kondagattu in Jagtial district, the BJP leaders under the leadership of Kisan Morcha national general secretary P. Sugunakar Rao launched a silent protest on Sunday. Daily several thousands of pilgrims throng the biggest Hanuman shrine in the State.

But, the temple does not have any basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets, accommodation etc. The pilgrims are forced to bath in the murky waters and struggle to fetch drinking water during Hanuman Jayanti celebrations.

With Hanuman Jayanti scheduled to be held on May 21 at the historic shrine, the BJP leaders launched the silent protest at the shrine on Sunday.
