All the five BJP MLAs in the recently dissolved Assembly, including State president K. Laxman, have been renominated in the first list of candidates announced late on Saturday night.
After the State Election Core committee presented the first list of 38 candidates to BJP national president Amit Shah, the list was approved at the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting late in the night.
Mr. Laxman will contest from Musheerabad, which he represented in the last House. The other former MLAs to find a place are G. Kishan Reddy (Amberpet), Chintala Ramachandra Reddy (Khairatabad), N. V. V. S. Prabhakar (Uppal). Former MLA from Goshamahal Raja Singh, who had recently said he had resigned as MLA from the legislators post has been renominated from the same constituency.
