Award for novelist

The Apuroopa Awards Foundation will confer the Amruthala award on renowned Telugu novelist Yuddanapoodi Sulochana Rani at a function to be held at Telugu University auditorium in Hyderabad on May 10.

The recipient would be honoured with Rs.25,000 cash prize, a shawl and a citation.

The Apuroopa awards committee led by Nellutla Ramadevi, a noted writer announced the names of other awardees for 2015. These awardees include, Sharada Srinivasan (radio play writer), P. Satyavathi (story writing), Kavitha Devuskar (painting), Mulini Reddy (sports), R. Shanthasundari (translation), Pothuri Vijayalakshmi (satire), C. Bhavani Devi (poetry), V. Durga Bhavani (education), K. Vimala Mukta (women empowerment), Jupaka Subhadra (columnist), Snehalatha Murali (folk music) and Suvarchala Reddy (dance).

Each recipient will receive a cash prize of Rs.10,000.

Director K. Viswanath will be the chief guest.
