The Khammam Urban Police on Monday registered a case against an auto-rickshaw driver on charges of trying to molest a minor girl at Puttakota village in the mandal on Sunday night.
Police sources said Nagul Meera allegedly attempted to molest a 14-year-old girl in his neighbourhood. He fled the scene when the girl screamed for help, sources said. The girl’s mother filed a complaint against the auto-rickshaw driver in the Khammam Urban police station on Monday. The police are on the lookout for the driver, who is reportedly absconding.
