Come festival, it is time for the womenfolk and others to go on shopping spree to select their choicest dresses, sarees and other household decorative items. With the Bathukamma and Dasara festivals round the corner, shopping is attaining more importance.

The handlooms and handicrafts mela at SRR Kalyana Mandapam in the heart of Karimnagar has come handy for womenfolk to shop for the festival. The organisers are displaying various varieties of sarees from Pochampalli, Venkatagiri, Narayanpet, Mysore, Bengal, besides others at affordable prices.

For the teenagers, there are a variety of cotton and party dress materials from Rajasthan, Bengal and other States. Besides, it is also feast for the womenfolk with the availability of various varieties of imitation jewellery and pearls. Jute products such as hand bags, chappals and other products are also attracting huge crowds.

The mela has household decorative items such as brass products, carpets, bed sheets, sofa covers, wall hangings etc. There are several children playing items too. Also, one should not forget to taste of Karnataka sweets and savouries at the mela.

Organisers were buoyed over the good turnout of people. Even the customers are happy over the availability of various products under one-roof.
