: The Akhila Bharatiya Rastriya Saikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) took strong objection to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s decision to use 10 acres of land belonging to Osmania University to house the poor.

Mahasangh Telangana State co-convenor D. Upender described the decision as ‘ridiculous’, as it deprived the students of their rights. The Chief Minister was alleged to have been diverting the attention from important issues and engaging people in petty ones. The Vice-Chancellors in various universities did not stay for more than a year. The administration in universities was defunct and the quality of higher education was poor.
