SFI activists seek action against teacher

January 10, 2017 11:19 pm | Updated 11:19 pm IST - KHAMMAM:

Activists of the Students Federation of India (SFI) staged a demonstration in front of the Zilla Parishad high school at Illuru in Madhira mandal on Tuesday demanding action against an “errant teacher” who had allegedly misbehaved with some girl students of the school.

The demonstrators staged a sit-in protest at the entrance of the school during the lunch break, sources said.

They demanded that the authorities conduct a detailed inquiry into the allegations made by some students that they were being constantly harassed by a teacher in the school.

Addressing the demonstration, SFI district president Ch Ramesh alleged that the teacher, who was facing allegations of misbehaving with some students, had gone on leave.
