The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical of Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad, will soon have a 30-bed intensive care unit (ICU), according to its Director K. Ashok. The facility will be inaugurated by Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy, he informed.
At a press conference here on Saturday, Dr. Ashok said RIMS will also have a biometric attendance machine installed within 15 days to mark the attendance of doctors. The machine will be installed in the medical college first and later at the hospital, he added.
Talking on the Arogyasri programme, the RIMS Director said the institute received a State-level award for performing 1,400 operations under the Arogyasri scheme. He thanked all the doctors for perfect coordination which resulted in so many surgeries being performed.
Dr. Ashok said a list of doctors for promotions was being sent to higher authorities and soon, many of them will be promoted. He also informed that the government has sanctioned two buses for students, one ambulance and one vehicle for the Director.
