New railway line to boost tourism at shrines

Land acquisition for the proposed Manoharabad to Kothapalli via Siddipet and Vemulawada is progressing at a steady pace and the government is taking all measures to reduce losses to land oustees, said Karimnagar Member of Parliament B. Vinod Kumar.

Participating at a review meeting on the land acquisition for the railway line in Rajanna-Sircilla district in Sircilla town on Monday, the Member of Parliament said that the railway line would pass through 32 kilometers of distance in Rajanna-Sircilla district.

Appeal to people

He appealed to the people to cooperate with the government in the land acquisition process for the prestigious railway project.

The railway line would benefit people of Rajanna-Sircilla and Karimnagar district to reach Secunderabad, he added.

Vemulawada legislator Ch. Ramesh Babu said that the completion of railway line would attract more tourists to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada, which is also called as Dakshina Kashi.

Collector Krishna Bhaskar said that a committee would be constituted with officials from the Revenue, Railway, Mission Bhageeratha, R&B and Land survey departments for early completion of land acquisition process for railway line.
