The detailed project report (DPR) of Mallannasagar is yet to be prepared! That’s the reply one Manne Mahilpal Reddy of Erravalli village got for his query from K.N. Anand, Executive Engineer, Dr. BRAPCSS Construction Division No. 1, Siddiept, Medak district.
According to Mr. Mahipal Reddy, the executive engineer’s response to an application filed under the Right to Information Act was that the Komuravelli Mallannasagar reservoir was at an investigative stage and DPR and Expert Committee Report were in the process of preparation. He said that he had submitted the application on May 24 and the response was given on Friday. Referring to three more questions related to the advantages of GO 123 and GO 214 over the Land Acquisition Act-2013, the applicant was asked by the executive engineer to approach the Special Deputy Collector, Land Acquisition, Siddipet.
Mr. Mahipal Reddy wanted to know on what basis the land price was fixed and the facilities the government would provide for those who do not have land or home in the submerging villages under the proposed reservoir.
