KARIMNAGAR: TDP Karimnagar town president K. Agaiah faulted the municipal authorities for neglecting to fix valves at public water taps resulting in wastage of water.

In a press note here on Thursday, he said that the water from public taps on the road leading from Bommakal cross roads to the Varahaswamy temple was continously flowing as there were no valves to stop the water flow. The Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar (MCK) was spending large amount of money for filter and supply of water. In the absence of taps there was not only wastage of resources but also a huge loss to the civic body, he said. He urged the MCK to launch a special drive to fix valves at all public tapsand conserve water for the future.
