94 p.c. take ICET in Nizamabad

The ICET-2015 examination went off smoothly at six examination centres in Nizamabad region.

Out of a total of 2,583 candidates, who applied for the test, 2,425 candidates attended registering an attendance percentage of 94 per cent.

Telangana State Council for Higher Education Vice-Chairman Prof. S. Mallesh went round the examination centers and inspected the process of examination.

He said that after the formation of the Telangana State, this was the first ICET being conducted at a total of 119 centres, including 15 regional centres in the State.

A total of 69,232 students registered for the test across the State. “The examination was conducted in a hassle-free manner disproving the apprehensions about our ability to conduct common entrance tests. We could also successfully conducted Lawcet, ICET and Eamcet and so on,” he added.

Registrar R. Limbadri, the ICET Regional Coordinator Prof. M. Yadagiri, K. Raja Ram and other were present.

Khammam Staff Reporter adds: As many as 948 candidates appeared for the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET-2015) in Kothagudem on Friday.

The test was conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The test went off smoothly at the three designated test centres – Sri Ramachandra Degree College, Vivekavardhini Degree College and Singareni Women’s Degree College in Kothagudem, sources said.

The University College of Engineering (Mining), Kothagudem, faculty B. Sesha Srinivas, who is the regional coordinator for the ICET-2015, oversaw the smooth conduct of the entrance test in the coal town.
