Health Minister Lakshma Reddy said all facilities were established at the newly-constructed hospital at Nanganoor. The hospital was constructed at a cost of ₹ 8.2 crore.

Addressing a gathering after formally inaugurating the hospital along with Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Monday, Mr. Laksmha Reddy said that the facilities at the hospital were on par with corporate hospitals in the towns and new coloured bed-sheets were being supplied at the hospital.

He said that the pregnant women are being encouraged to get deliveries done at government hospitals.

Mr. Harish Rao said that had expressed strong objection to Congress leaders visiting the government hospitals, questioning as to what had they done for the improvement of hospitals while being in power for a decade.

“Do not politicise everything. We are trying to improve the government hospitals and seeing that best services are extended to patients. The Health Minister has been changing the face of the government hospitals for better,” he said adding that the Congress leaders had been creating hurdles in the path of development.

Later in the day along with Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Harish Rao several farmers have visited the ongoing tunnel works in the outskirts of Venkatapur. The Ministers have explained them the advantage of having a tunnel for irrigation supply from Mallannasagar.

Earlier in the day, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav laid foundation stone for the development of Oota Cheruvu at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.47 crore and a double lane road at Narsapur ward at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.47 crore.
