Telangana government has announced a compensation of ₹25 lakh to each of the families of the martyred CRPF jawans in Pulwama terrorist attack.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao moved the resolution in the Legislative Assembly soon after it assembled for the budget session here on Friday. Describing the attack on Jawans as dastardly one, he said every one felt that it was not an attack on individuals but on the entire nation. It was time to send a strong message to those safeguarding the country that entire nation was with them.

Leader of Opposition Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the safety precautions should be stepped up, MIM leader Ahmed Balala condemned the targeting of Kashmiris in the wake of Pulwama attack and said such acts would only lend support to the conspiracy being hatched by Pakistan.

BJP MLA Raja Singh said it was time to give a strong response to Pakistan in the language they understand. He regretted that some Kashmiris were also backing the terrorists. When the Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy took up the resolution moved by the Chief Minister, it was passed unanimously and members observed two-minute silence.
