15,000 farmers to attend Rahul yatra

The District Congress Committee (DCC) leaders are leaving no stone unturned to make AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to neighbouring Adilabad district to participate in ‘Kisan Sandesh Yatra’ a grand success by mobilising farmers from Karimnagar district.Party leaders including DCC president K Mruthyunjayam, Jagtial legislator T Jeevan Reddy, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, former Minister D Sridhar Babu and other district leaders were entrusted the job of mobilisation of the farmers and party leaders in large numbers. Though, the farmers and the Congress leaders would attend in large numbers majority of the farmers would be mobilised from the Korutla and Jagtial Assembly segments, which adjoin Adilabad district and are close to Nirmal. Already, Jagtial legislator T Jeevan Reddy and Juvvadi Narsinga Rao are taking necessary steps for mobilisation of people. DCC president K Mruthyunjayam said that they were mobilising over 15,000 farmers from the district. “We are proceeding tonight to Koratikal village and participate in the yatra from Friday ,” he said.
