‘No helmet no entry’ banner at TU

Police personnel, led by Commissioner Kartikeya, took out a motorbike rally from the TSSP 7th Battalion headquarters in Dichpally to Telangana University campus on National Highway-44, in connection with the 28th Road Safety Week, on Thursday.

The Commissioner, along with TU Vice-Chancellor P. Sambaiah and Registrar Y. Jayaprakash Rao, erected a banner by the main gate of the university which cautions two-wheeler riders that if they don’t wear a helmet, they would not be allowed to enter the campus.

Later, Mr. Kartikeya interacted with the students on the idea behind the celebration of the Road Safety Week every year. He urged them to get involved in the campaign to create awareness on road mishaps and how to avoid them.

Commandant Y. Srinivas Rao and Assistant Commissioner of Police D. Anand were also present.
