J. Vijay (20), a mason from Kurusadi village, was killed on the spot and his friend Prasanth (21) of Muthunagar sustained grievous injury in a road accident near Aralvoimozhi on Friday evening.
The accident took place when the bike in which the duo travelled dashed against a TNSTC bus proceeding to Madurai from Nagercoil. It was alleged that the duo was speeding to Thovalai and dashed against the bus. Prasanth has been admitted in KGMCH. The body of Vijay was shifted to KGMCH for post mortem. Aralvoimozhi police registered a case and are investigating.
