A teenager was found dead in an isolated place near Madhavakurichi on Saturday.
K. Poovarasan (19), a polytechnic student from Uganthaanpatti Colony Street under Seethaparpanallur police station limits, was found dead on Saturday morning. Since blood was oozing out from the nose of the deceased, the relatives charged that it was a case of murder.
However, an empty bottle that contained poisonous liquid was also recovered from the scene of crime, suggesting that the teen might have committed suicide. During investigation, police found that Poovarasan was moving around in a suspicious manner shortly after Thursday midnight near the house of a woman. When she shouted at him, he left the place. The woman lodged a complaint with the Seethaparpanallur police who asked Poovarasan to appear before them. However, he did not go to the police station. Since his body had been recovered from an isolated place, police suspect it to be a suicide even as the relatives of the deceased term it a murder.
