Woman seeks Minister’s help to trace her husband

A woman from Koottatthupatti village presented a petition to Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan to help find her husband who was missing in North India for the past few months.

Sureka in her petition to the Minister during his visit to the city recently said that her husband Kandian, employed as driver with a private lorry company here, left for Mysore on January 9 last and later to Uttaranchal. He was transporting aluminium bar loads in the lorry from Jharkhand to Hyderabad on January 17.

Kandian, she said, spoke last to her over mobile phone on January 17. Since January 18 he has been missing.

The police traced the lorry at Agra on January 27 and arrested two persons.

However, the whereabouts of Kandian was not known, she said.
