Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami said “Merger of two AIADMK factions will take place soon, talks underway to sort out differences,” in Tiruvarur on Saturday.

Mr. Palaniswami refuted Opposition charges on stand of his government on construction of dam at Mekedatu.

"We will put up strong arguments against the move when Centre states its position on construction of new dams,” Mr. Palaniswami asserted and added “We will not allow construction of any new dam by Karnataka.”
