College students and the Corporation employees participated in voter enrolment awareness rallies taken out in the Salem North and Salem South Assembly constituencies on Thursday.

The students of Jayaram College along with the Corporation employees took out the rally in the Salem North constituency. It was flagged off from the Hasthampatt zonal office by K. R. Selvaraj, Corporation Commissioner.

The participants carrying banners and placards underlining the importance of enrolment of names in the voters list marched through Hasthampatti junction, Gandhi road, Vincent to reach the Corporation premises.

In the evening, the students of AVS Arts and Science College, Ammapet, and members of women self-help groups participated in a similar rally in Salem South constituency.

The rally was flagged off from the Ammapettai Gandhi market.
