People, who desperately want a desirable change, should shun “corrupt” Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and vote in favour of the Pattali Makkal Katchi in the coming Assembly election, party’s Chief Ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss has said.

Addressing the party’s seventh regional conference here on Sunday, Dr. Anbumani said that corruption and liquor, introduced by the DMK and by the AIADMK, had ruined Tamil Nadu in every aspect and pushed back the State’s growth.

Anger

“I can understand your anger caused by the corrupt governments headed by the DMK and the AIADMK for the past 50 years. You should not allow your anger to die down before the polls as these parties would take to ‘cash-for-votes’ tactics. Nurture your anger till you cast your vote so that it will pave way for the formation of a corruption-free and liquor-free governance provided by me to take Tamil Nadu to greater heights,” Dr. Anbumani said.

He said that the PMK-led government would ensure free, compulsory and quality education, quality healthcare, free agro inputs for farmers, etc.

The former Union Minister said: “Just give me a chance to rule the State for five years… The positive changes you are going to see under my rule will certainly compel you to back me for one more term.”

Party’s founder S. Ramadoss said: “We’re for the development all sections of society, Tamil and Tamil Nadu and not certainly in favour of one particular group.”

One of the resolutions passed in the conference assured the voters that the party would give a corruption-free government to ensure the growth of the State in every sphere. The resolution said that over Rs. 60 lakh crore-worth beach minerals, Rs. 5 lakh crore-worth granite and Rs. 2 lakh crore-worth river sand had been plundered by the mafia as the successive governments turned a blind eye to this serious issue. The PMK would effectively put an end to this menace.

Another resolution said the previous DMK and the present AIADMK had miserably failed to create infrastructure facilities in southern Tamil Nadu, which had led to lack of industrial investments in this region. The PMK would create investor-friendly situation in southern Tamil Nadu, the resolution said.
