Sri Sakthi Amma, founder of Sri Narayani Peedam, will introduce children to the world of learning by launching the ‘Vidyarambam’ or ‘Akshara Abhyasam’, which is to be conducted at Sri Narayani Peedam in Thirumalaikkodi, Sripuram on Tuesday, October 8. Sri Narayani Peedam organised a ‘kolu’ for nine days on the occassion of Navarathri, and a large number of devotees visited the temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Sri Narayani.

Vijayadashami, the tenth and final day of the Navarathri celebration, is an auspicious occasion for devotees to seek the blessings of Goddess Sri Narayani by performing ‘Vidyarambam’ for children at Her feet, in the presence of Sri Sakthi Amma.

The process of learning and initiation on this day is also closely related to the Ayudha Pooja ritual.
