TMC leader G.K. Vasan has promised to tour the State from August 3 to create a liquor-free Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at the Kamarajar birth anniversary celebrations organised by the party here, Mr. Vasan pointed out that Kamaraj’s rule marked the high point in administration in the State when he chartered schemes that envisaged the development of all sections of society.

With those lofty ideals in mind, the TMC has been formed and would strive for educational revolution, industrial revolution, and agricultural revolution for the overall development of the State, Mr. Vasan said.

To bring back that glory when Tamil Nadu topped the States in India on various fronts, the TMC would try to uphold the virtues that constituted Kamaraj's nine-and-a-half year golden rule.
