Udhayanidhi Stalin during the election campaign
Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of DMK president MK Stalin, was on Thursday appointed as secretary of the party’s youth wing .
He replaces former MLA Vellakoil MP Saminathan, who was appointed to the post after Mr Stalin stepped down a few years ago.
“Mr Saminathan has been relieved and Mr Udhayanidhi has been appointed as per Rule 18 and 19 of the party,” said party general secretary K. Anbazhagan in a press release.
