The Madras High Court on Friday posted for December 7, an anticipatory bail application filed by Udayanidhi Stalin, son of former deputy chief minister M.K. Stalin, in a case relating to alleged land grabbing.

In his petition, Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin stated that N.S. Seshadri Kumar, a businessman, had preferred a complaint with the city police alleging that his six grounds with a super structure admeasuring 4433 sq.ft. on Chittaranjan Road at Teynampet had been grabbed.

It was also alleged that the Sub-Registrar was brought to the residence of Mr. Kumar, who was forced to sell his property to Venugopal Reddy.

The petitioner said that the complaint was false. He was in no way connected to the transaction. He had reliably learnt that the complainant had executed a sale deed in favour of a builder on August 19 last year for Rs.5.54 crore.

When the matter came up before Justice S. Palanisamy, the petitioner's counsel S. Ramasamy said that the case had been filed for political reasons. The prosecution sought time. The Judge adjourned the case.
