Two killed in accidents

A government doctor was among the two killed in two different accidents.

In the first accident, Pandian, 32, a doctor in Anandur Government Hospital near here was returning from Salem in a car, when he crashed the vehicle into a fence near Penneshwaramadam in Kaveripattinam in the early hours of Monday. He was killed on the spot.

In another accident, a 65-year-old woman was fatally hit by an unidentified vehicle along Dharmapuri-Krishnagiri National Highway on Sunday night. The victim, Chandrammal, was killed on the spot. Kaveripattinam police have registered a case.
