Two youths, both employed with the Golden Rock Railway Workshops, Ponmalai in Tiruchi, were killed in a road accident at Valambakudi on the Thanjavur-Tiruchi National Highway 67 on Friday night.
Police said K. Senthil Velan (38) employed as draughtsman and his friend R. Sivaraman (24) working as an electrician in the Golden Rock Railway Workshops were returning on a motorcycle to Tiruchi from a village near Orathanad in Thanjavur district when they hit a road median at Valambakudi village.
The two were thrown off the vehicle in the impact and died on the spot.
