Police on Thursday arrested two youths, both brothers, on charge of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged woman in Kunthumaaranapalli village near Thenkanikottai.

P. Ramamoorthy (20) and his brother P. Muniraj (18), allegedly sexually assaulted the 26-year-old woman in a secluded place in the village on Wednesday, when her mother, a farm worker, was away in the fields.
Her mother, who learnt about the incident after returning home, preferred a complaint with the Thenkanikottai All Women Police.
The Police arrested both the brothers on Thursday.
They were remanded in judicial custody.
