The police arrested two persons on charges of possessing gun without proper licence in Kolli Hills here.
Based on tipoff, the police raided the land belonging to K. Maniyan alias Ponnusamy (56) of Thindoorpatti in Gundurnadu and M. Rajendran (29) of Solakadu in Ariyurnadu and found the guns. Inquiries revealed that both were farmers and possessed the guns without licence. Valavandi Nadu police arrested the farmers and produced them in the court. They were later lodged at prison. Inquiry is on whether they were using the guns for hunting purpose in the forest areas.
