E. Jayanandhana and M. Hemapriya, both from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vazhappadi, who secured 499 and 498 marks respectively to bag the State top rank and State second rank in the SSLC examinations, were felicitated by Ramco Cements management.
R. Dinesh Kumar, general manager, Ramco Cements, Singipuram plant, was the chief guest at a function held on the school premises recently and he gave away gold coins to both the toppers.
He also gave away special awards to 21 teachers of the school in recognition of their outstanding service for uplifting the students hailing from the rural back ground.
Logeswari, Headmistress of the school, thanked the Ramco Cements for its gesture.
