A special police team on Tuesday interrogated a few suspects in New Delhi in connection with the bomb threat made to the Madras High Court last week.
Last week, the Madras High Court strengthened security on its campus in the wake of a letter received by its Registrar General C. Kumarappan from a person who identified himself to be Hardarshan Singh Nagpal of the ‘International Khaalistan Support Group’ claiming to have planned multiple bomb blasts in court buildings on September 30 along with his son.
Senior judges also held a meeting with City Police Commissioner and A. K. Viswanathan, CISF officials and other officials. A special team of police personnel headed by an assistant commissioner of police is camping in New Delhi since then. “We are interrogating a few persons who are suspected in connection with the incidents. Further investigation is on,” said a senior police officer.
