Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) leader G. K. Vasan said the party would decide on alliances and poll strategies after the end of his second leg of tour across the State.
“When my second leg of the tour ends in March, I would have covered somewhere between 175 to 200 Assembly constituencies meeting people from different segments of society. So people's expectations from the TMC and their wishes will be almost clear by then. Our decisions on alliances will reflect the people's minds,” he told reporters here on Monday.
He said that the TMC, though newly formed, would fight to come to power in 2016. Mr. Vasan said the party would put pressure on the Centre to expedite the signing of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with European Union which, in turn, would immensely benefit knitwear export clusters such as Tirupur.
Incentives
Mr. Vasan called upon the State government to announce additional incentives to cattle farmers similar to that offered by the Karnataka Government. He reiterated the need for modernisation at Aavin to augment the milk processing capacity.
