Three-year-old boy dies in wall collapse

A three-year-old boy died in a wall collapse here at Needhanapatty in Rayakottai on Thursday.

Vasudev, son of Manimekalai and lorry driver Ravi, was playing in his house on Thursday, when an adjacent rain-soaked mud wall collapsed.

The boy sustained severe injuries.

He was rushed to Rayakottai Government Hospital and later referred to Krishnagiri Government Hospital, where he died.

Eyes donated

The grief-stricken couple however, decided to harvest their son’s eyes. Following their request, Vasudev’s eyes were harvested for donation at the GH.
