The CB-CID sleuths on Friday picked up three persons who were instrumental in posting the audio clippings and messages of Yuvaraj, the prime accused in the murder of V. Gokulraj, on social media.

CB-CID sources said that Yuvaraj had regularly contacted Giri, Prabhu and Suresh, all functionaries of Theeran Chinnamalai Gounder Peravai, over telephone and was well updated of the happenings in the Gokulraj murder case and the suicide case of Tiruchengode Division Deputy Superintendent of Police R. Vishnupriya.

Inquiries revealed that Giri received the messages from Yuvaraj and forward those to Prabhu, who along with Suresh, uploaded it on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. The three had also provided shelter to Yuvaraj after the murder of Gokulraj on September 24.

Prabhu, along with his wife and mother-in-law came for shopping in Salem on Thursday evening. Later, he informed his wife that he would be back in an hour and asked them to have dinner. But he did not return till midnight. His wife lodged a complaint with the Alagapuram police. Sources said that call records helped the team trace the three.
