July 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - NAMAKKAL:

Three members of a family sustained injuries after their relatives entered the house at Vitamanaikenpatti and attacked them with sickles here on Friday.

The police said that Baskar, a farmer, was having land adjacent to the land of Karupannan. Recently, Karupannan blocked the pathway to Baskar’s land without intimation and an altercation broke between them. Baskar preferred a complaint with Superintendent of Police S.R. Senthil Kumar to initiate action against Karupannan. But the police allegedly failed to initiate action. With dispute prevailing, Karupannan along with his son Karthick and relative Jeyakumar went to Baskar’s house and attacked his wife Santhi, daughter Karthika and relative Sundaram and fled. Baskar was not at home. Neighbours admitted the three to the Government Headquarters Hospital. The Namakkal police took Karupannan, Karthick and Jeyakumar for questioning. The police are yet to register case.
