Two women and a man lost their chains at Thiruvattar and Thuckalay on Sunday. According to police S. Subalala (39) of Viyannoor near Thiruvattar was travelled on a van from Verkilambi to Sanivilai. Taking advantage of the crowded van, somebody snatched her ‘thali’ chain weighing around 11 sovereigns. Thiruvattar police have registered a case.
An unidentified person snatched a two-sovereign chain from P. Natchathiram of Kannur near Thuckalay when she was returning home from Kadathur. Thuckalay police have registered a case.
Balachandra Mohan (65) of Kadathur lost his five-sovereign chain while travelling in a bus near Puliyurkurichi. Thuckalay police are investigating .
