Two brothers – 15 and 19 years of age – of a village under Suchindram police station limits were arrested in connection with alleged sexual attack on a six-year-old girl of the same village on Thursday.
According to the police, the two brothers allegedly took the girl to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her. Based on a complaint filed by her parents, Kanyakumari All Women Police arrested the accused and produced them before a local court here. They were remanded and sent to the juvenile home in Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district.
Kanyakumari All Women’s Police registered a case against the brothers under Sections 4, 5 (I), (m) / 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Further investigations are on.
